Woman, 35, found dead in country park is named as cops quiz murder suspect, 46
A WOMAN who was found dead in a country park has been named - as cops quiz a murder suspect.
Cops dashed to Brandon Country Park in Suffolk after ambulance crews reported a body had been found in the water shortly before 7am on Friday.

The body has been identified as 35-year-old Egle Vengaliene.
Just after midday on Friday, officers arrested a 46-year-old man on suspicion of murder and he was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder that afternoon and this evening Suffolk Police were granted another 24 hours to question him.
Specialist officers are supporting the woman's family, the force said.
A post-mortem examination was carried out on Saturday and additional tests are required, police said.
The force said the death is being treated as an isolated incident and there is not believed to be any threat to the wider community, but additional patrols will take place in the coming days anyway to offer reassurance to locals.
Cops have appealed for anyone who was in the area of the park or surrounding streets and who might have seen or heard anything suspicious to contact them.
The force said it is also keen to hear from anyone who knew the woman or anyone who saw her recently, before 7am on Friday.
A large part of the country park remained cordoned off by police as investigations continue.
Detectives believe the suspect and alleged victim were known to each other, with no wider threat to the community.
MORE PATROLS
Additional patrols took place in a bid to offer reassurance, police said.
Detective Superintendent Andy Smith said: "We understand this will have shocked and alarmed many people but officers will remain at the scene over the coming days and extra patrols are taking place to provide reassurance.
"We would like to thank local residents who have so far assisted us with this investigation."
Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses, particularly anyone who was in the area of Brandon country park, Bury Road or surrounding streets, who may have seen or heard anything suspicious, to make contact with them.
