Rosamund Pike Has Perhaps the Wildest Hiding Spot of All

Pike's new Golden Globe Award has a designated place — in her garden.

The I Care A Lot star appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in March 2021, and revealed she doesn't feel comfortable showing off any of her awards at home.

"I just find it an uneasy thing to display any award in your home because how do people interact with them when they come home?" Pike said. "Do they say, 'Oh, wow, look those are your awards?'"

She continued, "I think it's awkward so I bury it in the garden with a little bit showing up so you can have an enticing glimpse of a hand or the globe maybe."

"I think it's amusing because in the future, when I'm dead and gone or when somebody else buys the house, they'll be landscaping and they'll hit metal and they'll think they found buried treasure and they'll have in fact found a host of awards," Pike said, adding that by that time people will "probably centuries ahead and they won't even have [award shows] anymore so they'll be relics."

During a round of "Burning Questions" on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Roberts revealed that she keeps her Oscar in her "parlor." When asked by host Ellen DeGeneres to explain what exactly she meant, the actress said, "It's in a room that has a piano in it, that my daughter plays, that we call the piano room."

"I thought it might sound pretentious, so I said 'parlor,'" Roberts said while laughing at her impromptu answer.

"So you thought 'parlor' sounded less pretentious," DeGeneres joked, while Roberts continued to laugh.

When asked where she keeps her 2018 Emmy Award — which she won for outstanding lead actress in a comedy for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel — Brosnahan revealed that she keeps it where visitors can't miss it.

"It's on my toilet," the actress revealed. "Yeah, I live New York and there's not a whole lot of shelf space. There were very limited options and very few places to put it."

Hutton became the youngest person ever to win the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Ordinary People in 1980, but he didn't choose an ordinary hiding spot for the trophy. After receiving his award, Hutton's sister made a hilarious suggestion: "She thought that would be kind of funny to put the Oscar in the refrigerator when people would go grab a beer or something ... It's still there."

Nixon won her second Tony in 2017 for featured actress in a play, and when asked where she would put another Tony if she won, she said, "Well, I don't know. Nixon previously won the best lead actress Tony in 2006 for her role in Rabbit Hole.
