Twitter users share hilarious memes mocking arrival of British Summer Time and loss of an hour's sle

HUNDREDS of sleep-deprived Brits have taken to Twitter to complain about dragging themselves out of bed an hour early after the clocks changed.

British Summer Time officially began at 1am this morning , but bleary-eyed workers were quick to blast the lack of sunshine and chilly temperatures.

Many bemoaned their lack of sleep, using memes to highlight their exhaustion and anger at "being cheated out of an hours sleep".

Knackered parents and shift workers were hit hardest by the early start this Sunday morning.

Others quipped that they were waking up in winter as temperatures remained cold across Britain.

One user joked on Twitter: "The hour we lose this weekend was the one when I was planning to go the gym".
