Offended snowflakes tell Blackpool Tower's 'Dungeon' to stop using 'old' words like 'wench' and 'pea

SNOWFLAKES have told a tourist attraction to stop using   outdated words such as “wench” and “peasant”.

The right-on visitors say they are offended by terms used  at Blackpool Tower Dungeon, which portrays 16th-century life.

They have written online comments and messages in the  venue’s feedback book  demanding “knight in shining armour” and “hangman” are confined to history. Others have whinged about being humiliated by actors appearing in the attraction’s   interactive performances.

One complained that being jokingly stopped from going to the toilet  was “a breach of my human rights” — others complained that some performances’ Carry On-style humour was “puerile”.

But their outrage was shrugged off by the attraction’s managers, who  hit back with  a list of PC phrases to replace the offending terms.

They suggest “hangman” could be “hangperson” and “the black death” become a “deadly disease of nondescript colour”.

General manager Kenny Mew said: “We can’t turn our back on what happened in the 16th century.”

Fire broke out on the roof of Blackpool Tower and 12 people are being held in a lift
